1.
a. A learned person.
b. A specialist in a given branch of knowledge: a classical scholar.
2. One who attends school or studies with a teacher; a student.
3. A student who holds or has held a particular scholarship.
How can a person become one? Maybe these ideas can be tried... I am not a scholar so please add all that you can; any and all tips are greatly appreciated.
1. Know Yourself:
The ancient wisdom of Socrates is the first step toward discovering what you want out of life.
2. Always challenge yourself. Make the most out of life, your job, your school, your family and friends. Try to read the most difficult books, learn play a musical instrument and then teach it to someone else. Read poetry in a cafe out loud.
3. Do what you love... quit that crazy job and be the best you can at what you love to do no matter how little money it makes... it will come to those who wait.
4. Be a leader. Be a world changer, don't follow the pack inspire others to make a difference.
5. Tell your story in one profound sentence.
6. Test yourself. Take academic exams on your own.
7. Be recommendable. If a family member would recommend you for a job or anything for that matter you must be doing something right.
8. Always be learning. Always attend a class either on line every quarter or attend it in person. If you already have a degree then shoot for the PHD no pressure when you get it will be fine.
9. Don't let money dictate your dreams.
10. Travel, be worldly... even if you never leave your own country. Know and respect the culture of all.
Please give me your opinion on how to be a scholar.... pass it on.
